Week 39
I woke up this morning at 5am with persistent contractions. Coincidentally we also had our 39 week check up at the doctors office. The doctor was very happy to hear of the contractions and said if they continue and I move into active labor that our peanut could be here in a couple days. I'm going to spend the day resting and tracking the contraction pattern while Jon is at the office distracted by the thought of what's going on at home. I'm experiencing a state of calm and can only hope to maintain this feeling during the transition to the hospital, whenever that may be. Thinking happy thoughts for a safe delivery and healthy baby boy or girl.3cm dilated
